Random Music/Sound Picker - Godot 3
A downloadable tool
This small tool is used for picking a random sound from an exported array and playing it. It is extremely simple to use and edit, even for a beginner!
And completely free to use, as it's only a few lines of code.
Godot 4 already has a built-in random sound selector! If you are on Godot 4, you can use that instead!
Pros and Cons
- + Extremely simple, just drop into scene and click on the node.
- + Editing is as easy as just looking in the script.
- + Completely free. No credit needed, no licenses. (Although, a credit and link to this page would be highly appreciated.)
- - Base script is random with no sort of order, so it can pick the same song/sound twice.
- - The repeated sound issue can be very prevalent on a library of sounds having less than 4 selections.
