Zombies or something Devlog #1: Here we are...


As said in the description, it took me 4 hours to make this game. All while ignoring work in class. I made the sprites, coded (horribly) the game and tested it myself. It was fun but if I only knew more GDScript this game would've been more, impactful? i dont know.

This was definitely a learning experience, a very fun one. Figured out what and what not to use (if/else statements but i still used them).  I do have an urge to complete work on this game though, as I have plans for different maps, some boss zombies, weaponry and other humans to protect but I wanna see what people think before I work on a game no one is interested in.

There was also a "smart-bomb" feature, where all the zombies on the screen exploded into a fiery 8x8 ball of ash. 99% complete and everything but there was a way to get infinite bombs and just cheese through this mess.

In the end, with a whole slough of feelings today in a birdcage I'm forced to sit in for an extra 3 months (probably). This was the most fun thing I could do today. If you downloaded this game or even just viewed the page, I have a lot of thanks to give just because, idk, just makes me feel a bit better.

Instead of 8x8 pixels, the next game will be 16x16 pixels for each asset.
